To vote for your favourite Idol contestant, all you have to do is tune in to the Performance show on Wed at 8pm and follow the voting instructions given by the host.
Vote for your favourite Idol contestants via phone and/or SMS. Each call/SMS costs $0.60 (excluding GST). For those under 18, please seek parental consent before participating. Votes from pre-paid cards will not accepted. Votes are valid only when sent in the correct format and received within the stated voting hours
Do not start voting until the phone lines are open. Tune in to the show and wait for host Gurmit’s cue to call.
The Results Show will be telecast LIVE on Thurs, 8.30pm. Voting will continue until Gurmit announces on the Results show that the lines are closed. Note: There will be NO voting for encore telecasts.

Singapore Idol: SMS & Interactive Voice Response Service (“IVRS”) Voting, Text-2-Screen Services, Ringtone Downloads and such other services as may be provided by MediaCorp TV Singapore Pte Ltd (“MediaCorp”) under these terms and conditions.
- For the purpose of these terms and conditions, "MediaCorp" means MediaCorp TV Singapore Pte Ltd of Caldecott Broadcast Centre, Andrew Road, Singapore. MediaCorp is the promoter of a number of Singapore Idol telephony & mobile related services as detailed below including but not limited to SMS & IVRS voting, ringtones downloads, text to screen services and any and all such other services as may be provided by MediaCorp in relation to the Singapore Idol telephony & mobile related services.
- For the purposes of these terms and conditions, the Service Provider shall mean such third party service provider appointed by MediaCorp for the purposes of the Singapore Idol telephony & mobile related services; and “Operator” refers to the mobile operators, i.e. Singtel, M1 and Starhub.
- For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions "You", or "Your" refers to you, the customer and user of the services referred to herein (“Services”). By using the Services You are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions (as may be amended or supplemented from time to time).
- Please note that pre-paid SIM card users are not able to utilise these Services, you may wish to check with your chosen Operator for further information on how you can participate in future Singapore Idol shows.
- It is an Operator stipulation that officially ‘blacklisted’ subscriber numbers as submitted by the Operators to the Service Provider are unable to participate in the telephony and mobile services for Singapore Idol.

| Singapore Idol SMS & IVRS Voting |

- You can cast a vote from your mobile phone by SMSing [contestant’s appointed number] to 43657. You can only send in your SMS votes during the voting period announced on each episode of “Singapore Idol”. Any SMS votes received before or after the specified voting period for each episode will be disqualified and will not be counted towards the final result for that episode. Please note that voting periods may vary for each episode.
- Singtel, M1 and Starhub network users will be charged S$ 0.60 cents per SMS (excluding GST). Some network users may also be charged a standard rate per outgoing SMS —therefore the total cost of voting is dependant on Your network.
- In certain circumstances due to volume and Operator network capacity management, SMS votes sent during the voting period may arrive outside of the voting period, this is beyond the control of MediaCorp and Service Provider. Such SMS votes will also be disqualified.
- You can also cast a vote from both your landline telephone and mobile phone (subject to Operator restrictions) via Interactive Voice Response Service. The numbers to call will be displayed on screen during the show. You can only call in to cast your votes using IVRS during the voting period announced on each episode of “Singapore Idol”. Any calls received before or after the specified voting period for each episode will be disqualified and will not be counted towards the final result for that episode. Please note that voting periods may vary for each episode.
- Singtel, M1 and Starhub network users will be charged S$ 0.60 cents (excluding GST) per IVRS call registered. You should hold on the line and listen to the voice message for at least 3 seconds to properly register your vote.
- Service Provider adheres strictly to Operator customer care policy on repudiation and reconciliation for their subscribers activities; any claims for fraud, misuse or technical error must be categorically proven before charges can be disputed.
- For the avoidance of doubt, you will not be entitled to any refund for any disqualified SMS votes or IVRS calls, or for any SMS votes which arrive outside of the specified voting period due to volume and Operator network capacity management and other circumstances beyond the control of MediaCorp and Service Provider. MediaCorp and Service Provider shall not be liable for any losses or damages incurred by You in this connection.

- You can send a text message with your views and opinions for a chance to have your text message appear on screen by SMSing " CHAT [your message]" to 73388. Please note that this service is only available for certain episodes of “Singapore Idol”, and not all SMSes will appear on screen.
- Singtel, M1 and Starhub network users will be charged S$ 0.60 cents per SMS (excluding GST). Some network users may also be charged a standard rate per outgoing SMS —therefore the total cost is dependant on your network. These charges will apply regardless of whether your SMS is read out or appears on screen.
- All data captured by the system, including the mobile phone number of viewers who send a message is logged into a database and held on file for a period of 36 months. Any defamatory, profane, obscene, abusive, slanderous and/or libellous statements or remarks are strictly prohibited. You should note that such statements or remarks could potentially lead to civil liability and/or criminal prosecution.
- MediaCorp may also, through the Service Provider, make Content available for postpaid mobile phone subscribers to download and while MediaCorp will try, through the Service Provider, to make sure the Content reaches you, but sometimes this may be affected by factors and MediaCorp cannot control, for example, interruptions to the provision of MediaCorp’s services due to faults by the Service Provider, in networks or third party suppliers and accordingly MediaCorp will not be liable for any delay caused by them.
- You may order Content by adhering to the instructions as may be notified by MediaCorp from time to time and at such costs as may be specified and determined by MediaCorp from time to time.
- In addition, MediaCorp will not be liable to you in any way for failures, defects or delays in the delivery of the Content which are caused by one or more of the following reasons:
- You have provided an incorrect phone number or other incorrect information.
- Your mobile device does not support the Content. In this regard, please ensure that your mobile device supports MP3 tones and is GRPS / WAP enabled.
- Your message mail box is full and has no additional memory to receive the Content.
- Your mobile device is out of range or for some other reason cannot be contacted.
- You accidentally erase Content provided to you.
- You supply any material or instructions which is incomplete, incorrect, inaccurate, illegible or in the wrong form.
- For the purposes of this section on Ringtones Downloads, “Content” shall mean polyphonic ring tones made available by MediaCorp pursuant hereto.
- Once the payment has been made in accordance with the above, the download process will be commenced. You will be sent a text with a download link. Select this link and follow the onscreen instructions of your phone to download the content from our download location Provided Always that your mobile device is compatible, your network operator accepts the Content and is operating an uninterrupted service.
- The Services are available to all Singapore residents — subject to the standard terms and conditions set out herein.
- Charges for all the Services will be added to Your monthly mobile phone bill or home phone bill. If You are a minor (i.e. under 18 years old), You MUST obtain permission from your parent/guardian and the person who pays for your mobile phone service before purchasing any of the Services.
- Services herein mentioned are available to post-paid Singtel, M1 & Starhub customers. Pre-paid SIM card users are not able to utilise these Services.
- You acknowledge and agree that the Services may, from time to time, be adversely affected by events outside MediaCorp's and Service Provider’s control. MediaCorp and Service Provider will make all reasonable endeavours to ensure the uninterrupted and timely supply of the Services and will take all reasonable steps to correct any error, omission or mistake, but will have no liability whatsoever for any error in, or delay in, or failure in transmission of the Services howsoever caused (whether through the negligence of MediaCorp and/or Service Provider or otherwise) or any loss, damage, costs or expenses incurred by You directly or indirectly in connection with Your use of the Services.
- Without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, MediaCorp and Service Provider will not be liable to You in any way for failures or delays in the delivery or provision of the Services which are caused by any restrictions imposed by Operators on Your use of premium services. For the avoidance of doubt, the whole of MediaCorp’s liability are set out herein and MediaCorp shall owe no other duty or liability to you. Our entire liability to you for something MediaCorp or any of our Service Provider does or fails to do will be limited to the value of your order. MediaCorp shall not be liable to you in any way for any loss of income, business or profits, or for any loss or damage that was not reasonably foreseeable at the time you entered into this Agreement. For the avoidance of doubt this includes direct, indirect and consequential loss. MediaCorp will not be liable to you if we cannot carry out our duties or provide the Services because of something beyond our reasonable control. Other than the assurances provided herein the preceding paragraph, all warranties, representations, conditions or other terms either expressed or implied in relation to this Agreement are excluded and limited to the maximum extent permissible by law.
- You agree that Your personal data supplied when making an order for the Service may be used by MediaCorp or Service Provider to monitor the use of the Services, and for any future promotions/campaigns of MediaCorp and/or Service Provider (whether in connection with “Singapore Idol” or otherwise). MediaCorp & Service Provider reserves the right to disclose information about You to applicable regulatory or government bodies where MediaCorp is required by law to disclose this information.
- From time to time MediaCorp & Service Provider may be required to amend and/or supplement these terms and conditions and reserves such right. By continuing to use the Services you will be deemed to have accepted the amended and/or supplemented terms and conditions, which will be posted on this website. MediaCorp & Service Provider reserve the right, without any liability on their part whatsoever, to cancel, modify or supersede any of the Services at any time for any reason whatsoever.
- If MediaCorp or Service Provider believes that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions they reserve the right to immediately and without notice withdraw or bar You from using any or all of the Services.
- Any decisions made by MediaCorp and/or Service Provider in relation to the use of the Services and these terms and conditions shall be final and no correspondence or enquiries will be entertained.
- These terms and conditions are governed by Singapore law and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
